As the past year has come and gone, I wanted to highlight some of my favorite photos in 2011. Whereas they all may not be technically correct, I smile each time I look at them so that makes them special for me. I hope you enjoy one, two or a few of them.
And so the year begins with a new annual project. This year, I am taking a picture of Godmother every day starting on January 1. She has reached an age where capturing her expressions is priceless. Hopefully, I can get her out of her favorite chair for future pics. Day 5, she’s starting to get into it a bit. Game is on. The days pass but her expressions are pretty consistent: let me sleep. It’s Day 28 and she hadn’t eaten since yesterday. Hmm.
“Always treat your parents as if they are close friends who are soon to move to a distant land from where it will be impossible ever to return. Never take them for granted, no matter how busy life gets. You can’t imagine your mother and father dying. And then they do.” –Tony Parsons
This statement was so beautiful that I borrowed it from Bill Emory (http://billemory.com/blog/)
Fall 2011 FIC Service. This Church always has something going on and the Pastor is a gem. If you find yourself in East Stroudsburg, PA, stop by to get fed a Good Word.
The floor didn’t clear once DJ Muh Fiya started playing the music….even when the food was delivered. AWESOME!! The costumes were all Pirate related and the lighting was so low you could barely see the person in front of you, the liquor flowed and the hands groped. Nicely done.
They met at a party and after a few months were inseparable. He proposed and she accepted. On their wedding day, the weather brought rain but that didn’t stop anyone from enjoying this day filled with joy and splendor. The Happy Couple looked like a Prince and Princess and those in attendance had a great time celebrating with them. Enjoy a happy life together, Mr. and Mrs. Fuego.
Wishing the best future to this lovely couple who allowed me the privilege of capturing their wedding ceremonies over a two-day period. Happy life to you, Samantha and Darren.
